From Copywriter to SVP
​
The quick topline is that I started as a copywriter, became a creative director, then a group creative director, then, since I tended to run my team in ways a bit different than most (and my team tended to have a very, very good track record across all sorts of categories) a SVP/Director of Creative Strategy for Momentum - North America.
​
Along that way, I also was a leader of the agency’s North American New Business team that consistently delivered some crazy-great win rates. Also played the role of go-to person to lead sessions, represent the agency and help international offices as they sought to evolve into a more and more integrated network.

A Mentor and Partner
​
In my “off time,” I built all sorts of training seminars and collaborative concepting methods (large and small) for creatives, account service and clients. I loved spending time each year delivering custom classes on creative and campaign development at colleges like Notre Dame, Northwestern, BYU and others.
Even contributed a bit to helping build out some great ventures like a branded content entertainment group and a non-traditional concepting group in NOLA. And even was an inaugural contributing member helping build the first McCann WorldGroup Global Strategy Board (my specialty was “taking the branding beyond advertising and into direct engagement”).

Creating new and better ways to engage.
​
Lately, with Ponder Concepts, I’ve been busy inventing engagement platforms to help significantly improve people’s ability to engage with things important to their lives – things like their health (in good times and when things don’t go so well), their ability to help and care for others, even their ability to get better and better at things they love like sports and helping raise their children to love sports and get even more out of it.
Every solution begins with a conversation. Every great idea had a first step in getting there.
